The Skateboarding competition has begun after two days of practice sessions at Yuzui Park. More than 40 skateboarders from 20 nations are competing to become the first WRG world champions.

Today was the turn of the qualifying events and the competition is set to end tomorrow with the finals. The skateboarders had thirty seconds to display their best tricks as part of a perfect routine and three attempts to achieve their best result, which was used to qualify them or not for the grand final.

Luck did not accompany the Spanish team members and they will not compete in the final to crown the first WRG world champion. Dani León was injured during training yesterday and so missed out on the opportunity to compete in the qualifiers. Things did not fare much better for his team partner, Marcel Cama, who failed to move through to the final and finished in eighteenth position.
