WRG 2017 INLINE FREESTYLE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS FALL AT THE FEET OF ASIAN SKATERS

Asian skaters also continue to dominate the Classic Slalom events during the second day of the WRG 2017 Inline Freestyle competition at the Youth Olympic Sports Park venue. The Chinese skater Zhang Hao was once again crowned WRG world champion. Yesterday he won the gold in Speed Slalom event and today he clinched the same medal in Classic Slalom. His compatriot Ye Hao Qin won the silver and the bronze went to the Taipei skater Hsieh Mu-Lun. In the women’s category, China’s Feng Hui and Su Fei Qian came away with the gold and the bronze respectively, while the silver went to Russia’s Daria Kuznetsova.

The Spanish team led by Antonio Castro and Alba García performed well, with Castro finishing eleventh, one place higher than last year’s World Championships in Thailand, and Alba finished in twelfth place.

Tomorrow, Saturday, sees the staging of the Freestyle Slides and Battle Slalom events, thereby bringing the Inline Freestyle competition to a conclusion at the WRG Nanjing 2017.
