Barcelona welcomes the WRG2019

The Palauet Albéniz has been today the stage of the institutional welcome reception of the World Roller Games 2019 carried out by the Barcelona’s City Council. The event was attended by the Mayor of Barcelona, Ada Colau; Laura Pérez, third deputy Mayor of Social Rights and Feminism; Gerard Figueras, General Secretary of Sport and Physical Activity for the Government of Catalonia; Maite Fandos, Sports Councillor for the Barcelona Provincial Council; Sabatino Aracu, president of World Skate; Carmelo Paniagua, President of the WRG Organising Committee and RFEP; and Ramon Basiana, president of the WRG Executive Committee and FCP, among other authorities. 

In the parliament, the mayor stressed that "Barcelona is once again the world capital of sports thanks to the World Roller Games, we are an international reference in action sports, we are on the world map of small wheel sports and we have prepared to the maximum to host this event, today begins a wonderful story that comes from far and I am sure there will be a before and after to strengthen the city in the roller sports universe"
