The first ticket for the World Roller Games 2019 can now be named: Sergi Roberto Carnicer. The FC Barcelona footballer received this special ticket at the club’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper when it was presented to him by the famous roller sports athlete Pau Bargalló. Destined to be one of the main protagonists of the event, the Barça Lassa rink hockey player and captain of the Spanish national team presented this multi-talented footballer from Reus with the first ticket for this major roller sports event, to be held in Barcelona between 4 and 14 July.
“I wish Pau the best of luck and I am sure that the Spanish rink hockey team will perform well at the World Roller Games to defend its title as world champion. I believe the World Roller Games will provide a major sporting spectacle for a city like Barcelona, with its true passion for sport”, said Sergi Roberto. For his part, Pau Bargalló is also a “blaugrana” and made history in 2018 with Barça Lassa and the Spanish national team. He is similarly looking forward “with great eagerness” to this “roller year”: “The event is almost upon us and we are very excited and eager”. The team captain is convinced that both athletes and fans “will have a great time” and that the city will once again be up for the task as it has on other great occasions: “We know that it is very positive staging the event here in Barcelona and hope to enjoy it very much”. Bargalló also hopes to find some time to enjoy the show in person by “seeing some other disciplines, now that they will be within our reach”.
The meeting between these two athletes at Ciutat Esportiva in Sant Joan Despí has taken place in the same week that tickets for the event have gone on sale. The tickets will be available for all eleven disciplines: Alpine, Artistic, Downhill, Inline Freestyle, Inline Hockey, Rink Hockey, Roller Derby, Roller Freestyle, Scooter, Skateboarding and Speed.
People will be able to buy their tickets at affordable prices that range from 8 to 28 euros, with the possibility of special discounts for groups of twenty or more. There is also a range of premium tickets and passes that include entrance with priority seats, hospitality service, exclusive access to lounge area at RollerLand, official programme and meet-and-greet activities. Several exclusive services at the Palau Sant Jordi venue are offered with various options: full pass by discipline and daily tickets. Both tickets and passes can be bought through the official website of the event: wrg2019.com.
