Rink Hockey World Championship starts with a double victory for Spain

The World Championships for men and women of Rink Hockey seniors debuted this Saturday at the World Roller Games 2019 with the dispute of six games of the first phase in CEM Isaac Galvez de Vilanova i la Geltrú in which the Spanish teams, current champions, have debuted with two victories.

In the women's category, Spain achieved the biggest win on the first day by beating Switzerland 9-0 in a group A match, while Chile crushed France 4-2. In Group B, Italy defeated Portugal 3-2 in a very intense match, and Argentina won Germany (5-2).

In the men's category, Spain achieved a hurried victory over France (3-1) in the most interesting men's match in group A, thanks to three goals by Albert Casanovas, Toni Pérez and Eduard Lamas that counteracted goal was achieved by Carlo di Benedetto. In the other match of the group, Italy has achieved another tight victory over Angola (5-4).

The second phase of the championship will be played this Sunday with another six matches, four in the women’s category and two of the men’s.
