Spain-Portugal, in Rink Hockey World Championship semifinals

Argentina-France and Spain-Portugal, in the men's category, and Argentina-Chile and Italy-Spain, in the women's category, will be the semifinals of the World Rink Hockey Championships after having played this Thursday the quarterfinals in Palau Blaugrana on Thursday and CEM Isaac Gálvez from Vilanova i la Geltrú. 

With a win over Angola (6-0), Argentina has qualified for the semifinals in a game that at halftime and dominated by 3-0 with goals by Reinaldo García, Carlos Nicolía and Lucas Ordóñez, a result that has rounded off in the second half with three other goals, two by Pablo Álvarez and one by Matías Pascual.

Argentina’s opponent in the semifinals will be France, which has beaten Chile 5-4 in close match ultimately won by the South Americans. Carlo di Benedetto (3) and his brother Bruno and Hernan Remi have scored the goals of the French team, while Nicolás Carmona (3) and Felipe Castro have done for Chile.

The biggest win in the men's quarterfinals was achieved by Spain, who was 6-0 in the first six minutes of the match and finished 9-0 to Colombia with five goals by Pau Bargalló, two by Toni Pérez, one by Edu Lamas and one by Jordi Adroher.

The last men's match of the quarterfinals, Italy and Portugal have fought a spectacular battle in favor of the Portuguese team in the penalty shootout after the regulation time and the extension ended in a draw (6-6).

In the women's category, Argentina has had no pity for Switzerland, which has been thrashed by 11-0 in Vilanova with two triplets by Adriana Soto and Julieta Fernández, and in the semifinals will be playing against Chile, which has overcome Portugal 4-2 in the same scenario. In Palau, Spain has also had no rival in Germany, which has won by 7-0 with a great joint performance, and their opponent in the semifinals will be Italy, which has defeated France 4-3 and has qualified for women's World Championship semifinals for the first time.
