Spain, U19 Rink Hockey World Champion

The Spanish Under-19 Rink Hockey team has been proclaimed this Friday world champion of the category after beating Argentina 3-2 in a final match held at CEM Isaac Galvez de Vilanova i la Geltrú. With this victory, Spain regains a title that hasn’t won since 2011 World Cup in Barcelos.

Spain has come back from 0-2 adverse that the scoreboard pointed to the 14 minutes of the first half after Bruno Alonso and Eitesl Torres managed to beat Gerard Pérez.

The 0-2 has been maintained throughout the first part and it wasn’t until the 6th minute of the second half that Roc Pujadas has managed to overcome Matías Bridge for the first time. Only a minute later Aleix Marimón drew with a penalty and Roc Pujadas, 10 minutes from the end of the match, scored the 3-2 that would end up giving the victory to the team led by Sergi Macià.

Portugal was awarded the third place of Under 19 World Championship after overtaking Italy 4-1.
