World Roller Games facilities are ready for action

The countdown to the World Roller Games has already started. Barcelona will host the second edition of the biggest roller sports event in the world from 4th to 14th July, which brings together eleven sports disciplines.

The facilities in which more than 4,000 athletes from 81 countries will compete in the World Roller and Skateboarding Championships are ready for the start of the WRG2019. Some of them are in full filming phase of the junior category competitions, which are being held since last 29th of June.

These junior competitions mentioned earlier are taking place in CEM Mar Bella and CEM Horta, venues of the Inline Hockey competition and CEM Isaac Gálvez of Vilanova i la Geltrú, where the first phase of the Men's and Women's World Championships of Rink Hockey will take place. All these three facilities are already successfully functioning.

The skaters training at the spectacular Speed Track of the Front Marítim, the venue for the Track and Circuit events, have also given their approval, waiting for the competition to start on July 7th. The installation users are amazed by the uniqueness of the track and its technical characteristics as well as its privileged location on the seafront.

Meanwhile, in the Anella Olímpica of Montjuïc the assembly of Park and Street circuits at the Palau Sant Jordi are being assembled, this venue will host the disciplines of the WRG 2019: Freestyle Roller, Scooter and Skateboard in the first week of competition and Artistic the following week, after having renewed the interiors.

Sant Jordi Club is already hosting Artistic and will be hosting Inline Freestyle competitions from July 11th. The same goes for Explanada Olímpica, where you can witness Vert competitions from Skateboarding and Roller Freestyle disciplines.

Palau Blaugrana, CEM Rambla Celler of Sant Cugat del Vallès and the Poliesportiu La Maurina de Terrassa are the venues where the Rink Hockey competitions will be held, and are awaiting for the start of the competition next weekend. Likewise, Pavelló Municipal d'Esports Riera Seca of Mollet del Vallès, home of the Roller Derby between 9th and 13th of July, is also prepared to host the World Roller Games.

Only the urban circuits of the Parc de Montjuïc-Passeig del Migdia, venue that will host Downhill and Alpine disciplines, and Avinguda Diagonal-Passeig de Gràcia, where the Marathon and the 100 meters of Speed will take place, are waiting to be assembled shortly before the celebration of their respective competitions to not the day to day of the city.
