The World Roller Games of Barcelona are firmly continuing their worldwide growth. Representatives from a total of 14 countries met last Monday in the Catalan capital to learn first-hand about the most relevant details of next year’s major roller-skating event.
Located on the Barcelona coastline, the Hotel Front Marítim hosted this important delegates meeting, which included representatives from Germany, Australia, England, India, Croatia, Portugal, France, Italy, USA, Iran, Senegal, Russia, Chile and Spain.
The event kicked off with a welcome message from the event’s executive director, Marc Caballé, and president of the Executive Committee and also Catalan Roller Sports Federation, Ramon Basiana, and then continued by detailing several key points about the event, such as its competition modalities, their respective venues, competition schedule, ticket sales, TV coverage and logistics (transport, accommodation, etc.).
The activity continued into the afternoon with a tour of Montjuïc’s emblematic Olympic Ring, where the representatives who had travelled to Barcelona could explore several of the locations of the future WRG, such as Avinguda Maria Cristina, Sant Jordi Club or especially its older brother, Palau Sant Jordi, which is set to feature greatly throughout the coming month of July.
The meeting of these international delegates concluded on Tuesday morning with a visit to the event’s official hotels.
