The celebration of the tenth anniversary of imaginExtreme Barcelona last weekend helped once again to spread the image of the World Roller Games 2019 in the eyes of the entire roller sports universe.
The WRG to be held in Barcelona in July 2019 attended this consolidated action sports event and thereby confirmed the potential of the Catalan capital to host events of this magnitude. It was a small yet interesting taster of the experiences that lie ahead in the summer of next year, when a total of eleven roller sports modalities converge in the city.
The event was held at Parc del Fòrum and included various competition modalities, such as skateboarding, scooter and roller freestyle, all of which will also be present at next year’s World Roller Games with the celebration of their respective World Championships. In the meantime, these sports also delighted spectators this weekend with the staging of the International Scooter Association (ISA) world final, Barcelona European Open (BEO) of skateboarding and a roller freestyle race event.
The fans who gathered on the shores of the Mediterranean made the most of their chance to take photos of themselves beside the posters welcoming the next edition of the WRG and also find out more about the event. A feeling shared by the many riders present at imaginExtreme, as they have already marked the date of the WRG Barcelona in their diaries.
