Taking place in Montpellier from Wednesday 9 to Sunday 13 May, FISE (Festival International des Sports Extrêmes) is giving rise to some unbeatable feelings among roller sports fans. A delegation of the WRG to be held in Barcelona in 2019 has travelled to France to witness the greatness of a sports festival that is causing quite a stir in the heart of Montpellier.
This prestigious event began more than two decades ago (1997) and is staged in an outstanding location on the banks of the Lez River, commonly attracting a staggering half a million people. A figure that displays the enormous potential of the roller sports community and the pulling power that WRG Barcelona can generate among athletes and fans.
The French event is a great success in terms of attendance and organisation and comprises a total of seven sports, including some that will be present at the WRG 2019, such as skateboarding, roller freestyle and scooter. Other disciplines such as BMX, wakeboarding, mountain biking or parkour round off the programme of an event that is captivating the public. Barcelona has already taken note.
