The World Roller Games 2019 are putting the finishing touches on the venues that will host the various disciplines of the competition from 4 to 14 July. Construction work on the Speed track at Front Marítim, one of the most emblematic settings of the event, has now entered the final stretch and will be completed over the next few days after some final details.
The venue is located next to Parc del Forum on an asphalted ground measuring 147 x 80 meters and some 12,000 square metres. The oval track has a 200-metre perimeter in which the world’s best speed skaters will compete, with the Road competitions of the same discipline taking place around it.
The work began last March and has progressed according to schedule. Construction of the track and its corresponding stands will be complemented before the start of the WRG 2019 with the setting up of a commercial catering zone, areas reserved for athletes and technical staff, a warm-up area and a press centre.
The Speed races at this venue will take place between 7 and 9 July for the Track competitions and 11 and 12 July for the Road competitions. The World Championship of this discipline will be completed with the running of the 100-metres (Passeig de Gràcia, 13 July) and Marathon (Av. Diagonal-P. Gràcia, 14 July).
