The third edition of Skate Love Barcelona was held on 14 and 15 September and again witnessed a great response from the Catalan capital when it comes to roller sports events, less than ten months until the celebration of the World Roller Games 2019 and after two intense days that also included a significant number of foreigners attending.
The event kicked off on Friday morning with workshops at Dance esCool, located in the Barcelona street of Ganduxer, although the real starting point of the festival would take place hours later with the marquee at Poble Espanyol as its hub.
This attractive Montjuïc venue included the presence of various DJs, food trucks, activities, shows, market, roller skating and roller dance area. An enviable setting to stage a spectacular roller party that lasted until dawn and was preceded by ‘NetRolling’ among professionals in the ‘PRO Area’.
And the pace did not slow down on Sunday despite the intensity of the previous night. Barcelona was once again active with the holding of a workshop at the skate park located at the beach of Mar Bella, while the great majority of the programme was concentrated in the neighbouring city of Badalona.
The promenade of Platja dels Pescadors witnessed a fabulous day for experts and novices with a beach party to remember made up of various ingredients, all of which were seasoned by the participation of major international talents who provided extra shine to the event until sunset. Wonderful stuff indeed.
